How to Use BHIM App For The First Time
To start using Bhim app, first of all, you have to download it on your phone. You can directly download it from google play store, or you can even download it from our website. Download it and install it by clicking on the downloaded file.
After you have successfully downloaded and installed it, you are ready to check the next steps. Check the next steps from below.
Now you have to open the app by clicking on the BHIM App icon. First time of using the app you have to do the initial registration with your details. If your phone has Android marshmallow, then you will see the option on the screen to choose any of your two sim numbers. However, if your phone’s Android version is below marshmallow, then you have to choose the SIM card manually from settings.
You have to choose the mobile the number which is linked to any of your bank accounts. Because you may have multiple bank account we recommend to you, enter your primary bank accounts mobile number.
After you choose the mobile number, the app will send an SMS fro your phone to do the activation. This SMS will cost you around Rupees 1.5 After this your mobile number will be verified.
Next, you have to choose a PIN for the App. This PIN will be used by you every time you will want to use the app. This is important. Note the PIN down if you think you may forget it.
After entering the PIN first Time, you will need to enter the PIN number again to confirm it. After this you will be logged into to the BHIM app, you will see the Home Screen. It will be something like what you can see below in the screenshots.
Now you have successfully set up the app. On the home screen you will see all your bank accounts which are associated with that mobile number which you have used before in the previous steps. However, if your number is not associated with any bank account, you will need to add your bank account to the app manually. After this, you can send and receive money with going to ATM or bank from your phone only.
